My gaming machines-Then and now My first console: PlayStation 1 Current console: PlayStation 4 There are many things different things between these consoles. The PlayStation 1 at the time had improved the graphics of games and made a more enjoyable experience, and started the PlayStation journey to what we have today. The PS4 has a lot of different features one would be the online gaming which allowed people to play with others, originally debuted on the PS3. The PS4 and PS3 had trophy systems to give achievements to players. release dates: PlayStation 1: 3rd December 1994. PlayStation 4: 15 November 2013. Positives and negatives: PlayStation 1: The positives of PS1 were the new graphics and the negatives is that there is no online play and no multimedia. PlayStation 4: The positives are the graphics, online and multimedia choices. They also introduced touchscreen controllers.
